Mr. Crisp joined NSR in 2014, following a Hong Kong based engineering role at Aurecon. Mr. Crisp is the co-author of NSR’s annual Direct-to-Home (DTH) Markets report. As a member of NSR’s Fixed Satellite Services (FSS) group, Mr Crisp’s areas comprise of M2M communications - including the terrestrial M2M landscape. Previous consulting experience includes forecast analysis and risk management of natural disasters in Manila, where he made recommendations to policymakers about backup and emergency telecommunication links for use in city and nationwide emergencies. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with First Class Honours in Engineering (Civil & Structural) from the University of Adelaide, Australia. Aside from English, Alan can speak French and Chinese.

Andrey Telegin

Andrey Telegin

Andrey Telegin specializes in Broadcast Engineering and Satellite Communications. Since 2010 Andrey works as an engineer at the Outside Broadcast crew of TRK Ukraine TV broadcast company, being part of the crew that covers a large number of events, particularly in sports and news. Andrey was born in Khartsyzsk, a small industrial town near Donetsk, where he went to school and first revealed particular inclinations for exact sciences and the English language. After school Andrey studied at Donetsk Technical School of Industrial Automatics, where he got acquainted with the basics of telecommunications, electronics and engineering technologies and computer science. After completing his studies at Technical School, Andrey entered Donetsk National University Physics department, where he had major studies in electronics and RF signals. University studies combined the greatness of fundamental theories with the fascination of practical challenges. Andrey attended extracurricular English courses in order to boost his language skills and graduated in 2009 with the Master’s diploma in Applied Physics with honors.

Ali Younis

Mr. Younis joined NSR as an analyst in 2014 primarily supporting the FSS/HTS and Satellite Applications business areas. Mr. Younis brings several years of experience in the satellite industry to NSR. After obtaining his bachelors and masters degrees in communications engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), he obtained an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs (CDI) in Paris upon which he was recruited by SES in Luxembourg. After two years in various engineering and business development roles, Mr. Younis joined O3b Networks as a strategy development and product marketing officer. Mr. Younis has contributed to strategy development in the satellite industry on corporate, business and product levels leveraging his technical and business knowledge. He has also performed significant work in corporate finance. Mr. Younis has collected significant experience in both the media sector and the emerging data communications via HTS business. He is keen on the broader technology scene and practices web development out of interest.

Lluc Palerm joined NSR as an analyst in 2015. His primary areas of work are satellite capacity supply and demand as well as applications with a particular focus on emerging opportunities. Mr. Palerm contributes to several multi-client reports while engaging in customized consultancy projects. Prior to joining NSR, Mr. Palerm worked at Zero2Infinity in technical and business roles. Patrick French

Patrick French is Head of Business Development, Asia Pacific at INTELSAT. Prior to joining INTELSAT in early 2014, Patrick was the lead author for NSR’s annual studies Global Assessment of Satellite Demand and Broadband Satellite Markets. He has sought to expand NSR’s coverage of the satellite industry into areas such commercial satellite supply and demand modeling, video distribution and contribution, DTH, telephony and narrowband VSAT networks. In addition, he has undertaken client specific projects in diverse satellite applications and intends to broaden NSR coverage of the European satellite industry. From 1990 to 1999, Mr. French was a staff member of the International Space University (ISU), first in Cambridge, Massachusetts and then 6½ years at ISU’s Central Campus located in Strasbourg, France. Mr. French held numerous positions within ISU organizing conferences, short courses, and workshops. In parallel, he was responsible for managing the development of the new ISU Central Campus facilities that were completed in mid-2003. Following his work at ISU, Mr. French joined Frost & Sullivan where he rapidly advanced to the position of Strategic Analyst for the Satellite Communications group. While at Frost & Sullivan, Mr. French authored eight studies, led numerous consulting projects, and tracked other diverse markets such as satellite television, launch services, emerging satellite applications and content delivery networks. Mr. French holds a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University and attended the 1999 ISU Summer Session in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. He is fluent in French.
